Slot Machine Myths - An overview of some of the most common misconceptions about playing slots.

The casino industry is full myths and misconceptions and the players are always surrounded by the same. People think that the games and the prizes are planned in the casino. Most of the logics that are applied about the games and the prize money is false and are myths. The winning combinations and the free spins are a gift of technology and today the slot games contribute to the 70% of the casino revenues. Some of the common myths are:-

·         The next person coming after you hits a jackpot, if you could have waited for some ore time, you would have got the jackpot. This myth is false as the slot machines have a computer chip which is fitted inside the machine and runs on the technology which selects a random number. This technology selects a random number in a nanosecond and it can happen that you could have stopped and the machine selects a random number through many combinations.

·       Casinos can control the slot machines with a flip. The same chip technology works here and the chip decides the payback percentage in the slot machine. The payback amount is changed if the chip is changed. The process of changing the chip is very long and there is some serious paperwork attached to it and hence the casinos cannot control the functioning of the slot machines.

·         The temperature of the coin decides the luck of the player. This is again false. The machine does not have sensors to detect coin temperatures and it really doesn’t matter if the coins are hot or cold. The coins can e very harmful if someone tries to burn them or heat them to change the temperature.
